It was a pleasure to see the feature about Ruda Holiday Park in August’s issue of Devon Life.
The article celebrates the many campsites and caravan parks throughout Devon that are committed to helping wildlife, by either taking part in the David Bellamy Blooming Marvellous Pledge for Nature or through their own conservation plans.
Our beach team at Ruda, led by beach ranger Holly Robertson, have been working towards the ‘Special Species’ challenge to improve the habitats of four species on the Devon Special Species list. By looking after the wildlife and improving the habitats to help these animals thrive, the team hope to see more of the brown-banded carder bee, the greater horseshoe bat, the willow tit and the beachcomber beetle in and around the park.
